Tours – Run On Monday,Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday or by prior arrangements
Departing Mackay at 7.30/8.00am you will travel to the north of the city to cane farm to see a harvester and haul out tractors working in the fields up close.Then off to the rail siding to see the cane transferred to the rail system. Morning tea will be had at our mill hall prior to going on the working mill tour. Lunch on your tour will be had at the Farleigh Taven over looking the Farleigh Mill and the surrounding countryside. After lunch your journey will take you out to the Racecourse Mill for a driving tour around the cogeneration plant and Refinery with a full interpretation of both. The final part of the day is a journey out to the Mackay Harbour to see the largest sugar storage facility in the world.
WHS Requiments: – Long Sleeve Shirt, Long Pants, & Closed in Shoes are mandatory. We have a supply of shirts & pants available at the tour desk.
Returning to Mackay at approx. 3.30pm
